The ISO 27001:2022 Certified ISMS Lead Implementer Recertification (CIS LI R) examination is an ISO 17024-certificated exam set by IBITGQ (International Board for IT Governance Qualifications).

Are there any prerequisites?

All participants must hold a valid IBITGQ (International Board for IT Governance Qualifications) CIS LI (ISO 27001 Certified ISMS Lead Implementer) qualification. Evidence of a valid qualification will be required before an updated certificate is provided.

Those that pass the exam will earn a renewed ISO 27001:2022 Certified ISMS Lead Implementer (CIS LI) qualification. This certification is valid for three years, after which time candidates must recertify.

Please note: ISO/IEC 27001:2022 Lead Implementer and Lead Auditor certifications are valid for 3 years. Renewal is required to retain certification status.

This examination is accredited by IBITGQ (International Board for IT Governance Qualifications).

How will I receive my exam results and certificates?

  • Provisional results will be available immediately on completion of the exam. Confirmed results will be issued within ten working days from the date of the exam.
  • Certificates for those who have achieved a passing grade will be issued within ten working days from the date of the exam.
  • Results notifications and certificates are sent directly to candidates by the relevant exam board in electronic format. Please note that hard copy exam certificates are not issued.

Booking your exam

Important information: please read our examination guide before scheduling your exam.

All exams are delivered online using an automated proctor system managed by GASQ on behalf of IBITGQ.

  • You will need to give at least 2 days’ notice when scheduling your exam.
  • You can reschedule your exam once (if needed) at least 24 hours before your booked exam date and for no additional charge.
  • Please be aware that your proctored exam session will be recorded.
  • Smart watches and earphones/headphones may not be worn during your exam.

Candidates are required to have:

  • A desktop computer or laptop with a webcam and a microphone.
  • Google Chrome, Microsoft Edge, Safari or Opera browser installed.
  • Photo ID such as a student card, ID card or driver’s licence.
  • A stable Internet connection over Wi-Fi with a minimum upload speed of 1.5 Mbps.
