The ISO/IEC 20000-3:2012 Standard

ISO 20000-3 provides guidance on the scope definition and applicability of ISO 20000-1, and will help you establish if ISO 20000-1 is applicable to your organisation's circumstances. The guidance in this Standard takes the form of practical examples, typical scenarios and recommendations that show how the scope of an SMS can be defined, whether or not you have experience of defining the scope of management systems.
