Description

The C-DPO training course outline

The GDPR introduced significant new responsibilities for all organisations that process personal data. It extends the data rights of individuals (data subjects) so that they have better control over how their personal data is processed, and requires data controllers and processors to implement and maintain “appropriate technical and organisational measures” to protect personal data.

Organisations face fines of up to €20 million or 4% of annual global turnover for breaches.

Some organisations must appoint a DPO (data protection officer) to oversee their organisation’s data protection activities. Moreover, many others voluntarily appoint someone to the role.

This four-day training course gives attendees the knowledge and operational skills to act as a DPO in the EU and ensure that GDPR compliance is achieved and maintained effectively.

The benefits of the C-DPO training course

Throughout this course, an experienced privacy consultant will provide you with a comprehensive explanation of the DPO role and its relationship to the rest of the organisation. Attendees will use practical exercises to learn how to conduct DPIAs (data protection impact assessments), fulfil DSARs (data subject access requests) and ensure they can help their organisations meet their other GDPR obligations.
