IT Governance launches its first certified GDPR classroom training course in Italy

15/11/2017

IT Governance, the leading provider of information security and GDPR expertise, is holding its first certified General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) classroom training course in Milan on 28 November 2017 and in Rome on 30 November 2017.

Delivered by IT Governance’s experts in data protection and the GDPR, this classroom training course is a great opportunity to get the practical skills required to initiate a project and achieve compliance with the GDPR.

In just one day you will learn about the key concepts of the GDPR, the new rights of users and business obligations, developing policies and procedures, the data protection officer role and responsibilities, international data transfers outside the EU and much more.

For the last hour of the course, attendees will take a multiple-choice exam. Those who pass the exam will get an international certificate of attendance, which demonstrates their GDPR understanding and knowledge.

It also supports continued professional development programmes by qualifying for seven CPD/CPE credits.

GDPR compliance is imperative

The GDPR represents the most significant change to data protection legislation in the past 20 years at European and global level. Although it came into force on 25 May 2016, the GDPR will take effect exactly two years later, on 25 May 2018.

Every organisation that processes EU residents’ personal data must comply with the Regulation. Ignoring the GDPR or getting compliance wrong could incur fines of up to €20 million or 4% of the company's global annual turnover – whichever is greater.
