Exams and qualifications

GDPR Practitioner and C-DPO Upgrade Combination Training Course exams

Attendees take the EU GDPR F examination at the end of day 1 – a 60-minute, multiple-choice, ISO 17024-certificated exam set by IBITGQ. The online C-DPO exam is taken at the end of the course – a four-hour exam set by IBITGQ consisting of 150 multiple-choice questions.

What qualifications will I receive?

EU GDPR Foundation (EU GDPR F) and C-DPO Provisional qualifications.

Please note that in order get the C-DPO Professional level qualification by IBITGQ, you must prove 24 months’ DPO work experience and 100 CPD learning hours.


All courses hold accreditations from IBITGQ (International Board for IT Governance Qualifications).

The Certified GDPR Foundation course is also accredited by and CIISec (The Chartered Institute of Information Security) and satisfies the CIISec Knowledge Areas requirements at Level 1: A1, A2, A3, A4, A5, A6, A7, B2 and C3.

How will I receive my exam results and certificates?

Provisional exam results will be given immediately after completing the exam; confirmed results will be issued within 10 working days, after which you’ll receive your certificate by email if you passed.

Can exams be retaken?

Yes, if you are unsuccessful on the first attempt you can retake the exam for an additional fee. You can email us to schedule the retest for the exam.


Are there any prerequisites for this course?

There are no prerequisites for taking the EU GDPR Foundation course. Before taking the C-DPO Masterclass course, you must have passed the Certified EU GDPR Foundation examination.
