The leading provider of compliance documentation toolkits, IT Governance Ltd has announced the launch of its EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) Documentation Toolkit to help organisations that handle European residents’ data meet the requirements of the GDPR.
The GDPR Documentation Toolkit, which has been developed by practicing data protection experts, is designed to help organisations prepare all the critical documents needed to comply with the GDPR. The toolkit allows organisations to take advantage of in-house skills and resources by using the document templates, policies and procedures to help achieve trouble-free and cost-effective compliance with the Regulation.

The toolkit contains project tools, GDPR guidance documents for encryption,data flow mapping, contract clauses and record guidelines, the GDPR policiesand procedures, and various blank templates that organisations can use duringthe compliance process. The toolkit also contains ISO 27001 documentation to allow organisations to integrate GDPR compliance with an ISO 27001:2013 ISMS.
Organisations collecting and handling European residents’ data will be required to make changes to policies and processes in order to comply with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR)by 25 May 2018. The Regulation introduces administrative fines that will be “effective, proportionate and dissuasive” – up to 4% of the total worldwide annual turnover or €20 million, whichever is higher.
