On 26 April, IT Governance will be exhibiting at ISO27001 Ireland, which will be taking place in Dublin at Croke Park Stadium. At the event, Steve Watkins, IT Governance director and co-author (with Alan Calder) of the definitive compliance guide IT Governance: An International Guide to Data Security and ISO27001/ISO27002, will deliver a Hive meeting that discusses the EU GDPR – How your ISO 27001-aligned ISMS can help (and how to update your ISMS in light of EU GDPR to keep your auditors happy!).
The two-hour session is designed to provide an overview of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) compliance requirements and how an ISO 27001-aligned information security management system (ISMS) can support GDPR compliance.
The meeting is aimed at ISMS implementers and auditors looking to get a comprehensive understanding of the GDPR and how compliance can be achieved while implementing and certifying to ISO 27001.
The Hive session will take place at ISO27001 Ireland on Wednesday, 26 April, from 14:00 – 16:30 (GMT) at Croke Park Stadium, Jones’ Road, Dublin 3.
Information security professionals wishing to learn about the GDPR and how compliance can be managed with an ISO 27001-compliant ISMS are encouraged to book their place at the event.
Alternatively, professionals looking to learn more about the GDPR and how it can impact their organisation are encouraged to attend IT Governance’s FREE series of webinars focused on the GDPR and its requirements.
